National Council for Prescription Drug Programs
Founded in 1977, NCPDP is a not-for-profit, ANSI-accredited, Standards
Development Organization with over 1600 members that represent
virtually every sector of the pharmacy services industry. Our diverse

education and standards, developed through a consensus building process.
NCPDP has been named in federal legislation, including HIPAA, MMA and HITECH. NCPDP members have created standards such as the Telecommunication Standard,
the SCRIPT Standard for ePrescribing, the Manufacturer Rebate Standard and more to improve communication in the pharmacy industry.
Our data services include NCPDP dataQ 3.0, the next generation pharmacy
database solution, and HCIdea 3.0, the trusted prescriber identity solution.
NCPDP also offers a legislative tracking product, RxReconn, for real-time monitoring of pharmacy related state and national legislative and regulatory activity.
